On my trip to find stuff to restore at the local junk market, I saw this PS1 console in this bad condition, I decided to restore it and give it a new chance to live again.

During the disassembly, I found the remains of a spider and a spider nest. It's very common I find bugs inside these old devices, I'm, not sure why, maybe they're dark and warm places.
When I tested the console, I noticed the green power LED didn't light up. After opening the console, I replaced the capacitors with new ones. I also cleaned the boards with dust and isopropyl alcohol.
I then washed the plastics in soapy water to remove all grime and grease in preparation for the next step which was to soak them in Cream Peroxide Developer 40 Volume and UV light for several days to remove the years of yellowing that has taken place, This process is also known as retr0brite.
