TLOU
Pedro Pascal stars in The Last of Us and HBO just released the first footage of the new series ahead of the House of the Dragon premiere. The premium cable network ran a trailer with all their upcoming shows and featured a moment dedicated to the HBO original based on the video games developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation platforms.
The teaser shows Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) as they cross a snowy bridge with the latter’s voiceover saying, “Everybody I’ve cared for has either died or left me.”

Diablo IV:
for Diablo IV‘s post-launch monetization. The action RPG is coming out next year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
This is a tricky prospect for Blizzard. It’s last release, the free-to-play Diablo Immortal, drew ire for its microtransactions. Players especially dislike having to spend money to have a chance to earn items that increase their power, which can give them a distinct advantage in game modes like player-vs.-player content.
Diablo IV will not be free-to-play. It will be a premium game. That can make microtransactions an even harder sell. However, Blizzard is promising that — unlike with Immortal — players can not buy any items that will increase player power.
Instead, players can purchase cosmetics from an in-game store and buy a season pass. The season pass will have both free and paid tiers. The free track will include items like XP boosts. While that is, in fact, a way to make your character stronger, it is at least available to all players without spending money. The paid tier includes cosmetic items and premium currency that you can use in the in-game store.

PS Rip Off
A collective action being brought against Sony in the UK accuses the PlayStation company of “ripping people off” on its digital store.

The legal claim, which has been introduced by consumer rights campaigner Alex Neill, claims Sony is in breach of competition law by demanding a cut of every purchase made on the PlayStation Store.

According to the claim, players in the UK have been ‘overcharged’ for digital purchases by £5 billion ($5.9 billion) over the course of the last six years.

The claim, which was filed with the Competition Appeal Tribunal last week, says it includes anyone in the UK who has bought games or DLC via the PlayStation Store since August 19, 2016, which is said to be around 9 million people.

PS Rip Off:
It ought to be plenty obvious by now that Sony is rather serious about diversifying its PlayStation branding in a way that's almost unprecedented. Efforts that started off with a successful campaign to launch previously exclusive PlayStation games on PC now include Sony's dedicated gaming hardware, Inzone. However, there may be problems with this particular endeavor.
Namely, a Sony Inzone user alexniclo has reported via Reddit that they've had terrible luck when purchasing the company's top-of-the-line M9 monitor. According to their post, both M9 monitors they bought have had serious quality control problems, with apparent panel damage being present out of the box.

PS Rip Off:
Unless you're hopping into a free-to-play game, playing online multiplayer titles on PlayStation with your buddies comes at a price. The functionality is one benefit of subscribing to PS Plus, with all three tiers giving you access. Fortunately, every now and then Sony holds a free weekend, letting everyone enjoy their games online, whether they're a member or not.

The time has come once again — this weekend, the 27th-28th August, online multiplayer on PS5 and PS4 will be completely free. Again, you'll be able to engage with online features regardless of whether you hold a PS Plus subscription:
