From Press Start

“Marvel's Spider-Man Is Being Removed From PlayStation Plus Extra. PlayStation announced the next round of titles being added to the PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe game catalogue overnight, with a slate of new games coming on April 18th. Marvel’s Spider-Man, a first-party PlayStation 4 game and one of the platform’s marquee titles, is being removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra game catalogue on May 15, along with the classic Resident Evil, NBA 2K Playgrounds and 28 others. This means that once May 15 rolls around, subscribers will lose access to these games entirely even if they’ve already downloaded and played them.”

“PlayStation Plus Game Catalog Gets 16 New Games In April. Sony has revealed the new titles being added to its PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on April 18, and if you're a fan of Zelda-likes, punching Nazis, and extreme outdoor activities, there's a lot to look forward to. Headlining the new selection for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers is Kena: Bridge of Spirits, 2022's delightful action-adventure in which you take on shaman duties and grow a small tribe of adorable creatures to help you solve puzzles.”

We’re happy to announce this week’s State of Play will dive into all this and more, so tune in live on Twitch or YouTube April 13 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST, then get ready for Final Fantasy XVI’s PS5 launch on June 22. “

“Rumor: Sony Could Be Scaling Back PlayStation VR2 Production Plans. When the Playstation VR2 was released in February, it only had a few notable launch titles, most prominently Horizon Call of the Mountain, and a whopping price tag of $549.99. While many PlayStation fans have already upgraded to the PS5 and may be ready for the upgrade to PS4's PS VR, the console-like pricing may be keeping a chunk of the install base from adopting the improved tech. By the end of February, Sony had only shipped 270,000 PS VR2 units which has sparked some rumors that continue to gain traction despite Sony denying such drastic adjustments.

From Yahoo

“Sony quietly kills the PlayStation Store's most annoying 'feature’. Sony seems to have quietly stopped sending email receipts for free games and DLC claimed through the PlayStation Store. As first spotted by PlayStation Lifestyle and a number of observers on Reddit, the latest batch of free PS Plus games doesn't appear to be sending email receipts like the service did with all previous releases. It's unclear whether Sony has formally ended receipts for free games and DLC or if it just hasn't been sending them out in error, but we can confirm we aren't getting them either. We've reached out to PlayStation for comment and will update this story if we hear back.”
