Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a pure gaming joy on PS4 and PS5 - a lush Hawaiian holiday full of epic drama, amazing characters and loads of heart. Infinite Wealth truly has it all, so join Rosie for a celebration of the first RPG masterpiece of 2024.

If you’ve followed the Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth review scores you’ll know this is already in the running for GOTY. And we’re in total agreement. Watching Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu team up to face very different challenges in Honolulu is a treat: the sunny disposition of Ichiban acting as the perfect foil to Kiryu’s icy cool. It’s like the best of early Yakuza colliding with the highlights of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and it makes the perfect combination.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have gone all in on this JRPG sequel - you’ll see how the combat system has evolved to allow a lot more strategic options; how they’ve build vast minigames that riff on existing gaming favourites; and of course we go into some of the Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth substories, which is where you’ll find some of the game’s most heartful writing. Honestly, there’s loads to love here.

You’ll also see from our Infinite Wealth gameplay (captured on PS5) that the game is gorgeous: a perfect burst of sunny escapism in the bleak winter months. Don’t worry, we’ve kept our Infinite Wealth gameplay spoiler free, so you can enjoy the quest as was intended.
