Ever since the Internet existed, so have hackers. From hacking personal computers, to selling illegal things on the “dark web”, hackers have always tried to use scare tactics to get what they want.
Sometimes, they actually get their hands on some pretty confidential information. Some consider hackers to be essential to keeping freedom of speech, things like WikiLeaks can help the people know what’s going on in the world.
