Is Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy the Best Star Wars Game ever?
It's got an engaging single player campaign with a rich variety of iconic Star Wars locations and characters set within the post Return of the Jedi timeline.
It's got fun chaotic Multiplayer modes that mixes cooperative objective work and crazy free for alls both online and offline.
Both of these have been expanded on over the years with countless mods and community support with an audience that exists still after nearly 20 years! (Does anyone else remember spawning 100 Stormtroopers against a Rancor? Or spawning dozens of Jedi and Sith Reborns to face off with the Lightsaber Gore/Dismemberment Code activated?!)
It's a First Person/Third Person Shooter mixed with a Slasher mixed with a Magic Power Role-Playing action adventure Game. It has some of the best Lightsaber combat a Star Wars video game has ever seen, nearly rivalled only as recently as Jedi Fallen Order.
As one of my Top 10 All Time Favourite Video Games I had to make a tribute to it after realising I could download it on Xbox. I still fondly remember my Uncle taking me out to buy it for the PC on release day back in September 2003 when I was just 11 years old - and to this day I'm still waiting for Kyle, Rosh and Jaden to continue their adventures!
The fact this game never got a sequel is criminal. I hope you enjoy this tribute to the Single Player Campaign. Thank you Raven Software for this absolute gem.
