Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family preview will come to a close next month, on 15th August.
Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family - which launched as a limited preview last September after months of speculation and rumours - gives up to five people access to all Game Pass Ultimate benefits at a significant discount compared to individual memberships.
Sharing news of the preview's end with Eurogamer, a Microsoft spokesperson said: "We're excited about how the Friends and Family plan has resonated with gamers and will be evaluating the learnings to help create an offer that we can bring to more players worldwide in the future.

Update: It's now been confirmed Microsoft has committed to a 10-year deal for Call of Duty on PlayStation. Sony has also confirmed this with Axios.
"While Microsoft’s initial announcement doesn’t mention 10 years for Call of Duty on PlayStation, Kari Perez, head of global communications at Xbox, confirmed the 10-year commitment to The Verge." The Verge's senior editor Tom Warren has also been told by Microsoft the 10-year deal is "limited to Call of Duty":
"Microsoft has confirmed to The Verge that Sony's 10-year Call of Duty deal is limited to CoD. Microsoft originally offered to keep "existing Activision console titles on Sony”, including future versions of current Activision games on PS till end of 2027"
Microsoft has announced today that the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 was the "highest rated" and "most viewed" show in Xbox history, racking up over 92 million views within seven days of the broadcast.
The 2023 edition of the Xbox Games Showcase also featured the highly anticipated Starfield Direct, and it led to the event receiving a 38% rise in viewership compared to the 2022 version.
