This is Make or Break! The EU, FTC and other foreign Regulatory Committees have approved the Xbox Activision Blizzard and King Merger with Xbox and now in a last ditch effort Playstation and Sony may have used one last move to completely block the deal and send Microsoft to court for months. Xbox has also countered with a glaring show of Playstation monopoly, market dominance and a completely pitiful attempt to keep Xbox from competing!
Phil: “Had good calls this week with leaders at Sony. I confirmed our intent to honor all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. Sony is an important part of our industry, and we value our relationship.”

Xbox offered 10 years
Microsoft offered Sony (80% market share) a 10 year agreement & guaranteed long-term access to Call of Duty.
But they keep refusing
$110m loss per year with people moving to playing CoD on Xbox instead of Playstation
15% PS plus users would stop subbing and loss of sales for $70 on PS.
$3b per year of PS Gaming Revenue (3% of their yearly revenue on PS)
"Microsoft might release a PlayStation version of Call of Duty where bugs and errors emerge only on the game’s final level or after later updates. Even if such degradations could be swiftly detected, any remedy would likely come too late, by which time the gaming community would have lost confidence in PlayStation as a go-to venue to play Call of Duty"

Sony Group Corp. urged the UK’s antitrust watchdog to block Microsoft Corp.’s $69 billion Activision Blizzard Inc. deal or force it to sell the blockbuster Call of Duty, as no other solution exists that’ll prevent harm to consumers in the cloud gaming and console markets.
