Obsidian Entertainment created a Fantasy RPG in the Pillars of Eternity universe, taking the gameplay from turn based isomeric, to first and third person real time action adventure. First revealed in 2020 there is much anticipation, a dash of hype and high expectations for this new RPG from Xbox Game Studios. This is the review of obsidians Avowed.
Special thanks to Xbox and obsidian for providing an early review copy of Avowed. I had two weeks to review this game and spent over 70 hours playing through this massive RPG. I played the game on Xbox console and mostly PC. On Xbox the game runs at a near 4K at 60 FPS with quality modes at 30 and 40 FPS at native 4K. Either way you get a beautiful gameplay experience with PC being a cleaner presentation.
