Could the XBox Series X be the superior console? SOme preliminary user testing, recent Microsoft acquisitions, and a potential deal with tech giant Apple for Apple TV could push Microsoft into pole position in the much coveted console units sold category. In this video we’ll talk about the experience some testers had playing old games like Hitman 2, and how the Series X’s tech shone brightly in side by side comparisons with the XBox One. It was the first time we’ve seen regular folks interact with the new machine and they, and in turn, we, were quite impressed. Although Sony is releasing some remasters like PS4’s Spider-Man, XBox could be making a lot of its past generation games look like remasters without its buyers having to reopen their wallets.
We’ll also talk about the potential for new XBox exclusives down the line, as Microsoft didn’t purchase Zenimax Media Inc. and all its subsidiaries just because it could. It must be scheming of how it can get a greater stranglehold on the market and make I.d. Software titles like the well loved Doom into an XBox and PC exclusive. Elder Scrolls addicts will have no choice but make the switch to XBox down the lines if they do what we suspect they will do.
We’ll also be talking about the HDR10 technology and Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technology, and how it will be a difference players will see and hear when gaming on the Series X.
